Episode 1: Wes Side Story
TJ Lavin welcomes the cast to Thailand and explains the rules of 'The Ruins.'
The cast breaks in their new digs with a crazy pool party.
Tonya instantly puts a target on her back by getting intoxicated the first night and having to be carried to bed by her teammates.
Evan calls Wes out for telling everyone that he wasn't coming on this Challenge. Further complicating matters is the fact that Wes is joined by his new girlfriend KellyAnne, as well as his ex-fiance Johanna and her former flame, Kenny.
Wes tries to strong-arm his team into selecting people for 'The Ruins' by pulling names out of a hat.
Wes tells KellyAnne that he's planning on throwing missions if his team won't play by his rules.
Evelyn tries to convince Wes to play by the rules, but he's determined to go against the his team and even tells the Challengers of his plan.
The Challengers team kicks off the Chain Gang Challenge, where each team member must climb over their teammates dangling from a long rope.
Both Casey and Shauvon are incapable to hoist themselves onto the platform and are disqualified.
Realizing that Wes is going to try and sabotage the challenge by trying to shake people off the rope, the Champions plot a way to thwart his attempts.
Although Wes is able to shake the rope quite violently, Ibis is able to unhook and fall into the water, disqualifying Wes before he can do any damage.
While it's not the most comfortable challenge for the guys, every other Champion is able to get to the top of the platform, tying them with the Challengers.
The Champions celebrate when TJ reveals that their time was better than the Challengers' and they've won the challenge.
Fed up with Wes' antics, Darrell tries to instigate a fight by insulting KellyAnne so that Wes will hit him and be sent home.
The team calls Wes out when he tries to "volunteer" to go into 'The Ruins' so he can choose his opponent from the Challengers team. Although they all agree that they would have voted him in regardless, the Champions allow Wes to go against Chet.
Tonya prepares to go into 'The Ruins' herself by getting really drunk and fighting with her team...again.
The Champions team has a little fun by partying directly outside Wes' room until he and KellyAnne are forced to move elsewhere.
Wes and Chet kick off the Shoots And Ladders 'Ruins,' where they must build a ladder out of bamboo shoots and ring a gong at the top.
Both the Challengers and Champions teams are stunned at how evenly matched Wes and Chet appear to be at this task and hope that Chet pulls out a victory.
Although it's a close race, Wes wins and sends Chet home.
When the girls face off, Diem is in disbelief when she sees that Tonya's actually beating her.
Syrus and Ev hug a victorious Tonya.
Some of the Champions girls suggest that they should start appeasing Wes to keep him from throwing challenges, but the guys are determined to keep sending him into 'The Ruins' until someone manages to eliminate him.
Episode Summary: Twenty-eight excited Challenge competitors arrive in exotic Thailand and learn that they will be competing in a brand new Challenge: The Ruins, where the players will be broken up into two teams: the Champions and the Challengers, while competing for their share of $300,000 to be banked in their own individual bank accounts. Episode 2 – "The Booby Trap"
Wes and Johanna attempt to mend their friendship, but Johanna's having issues keeping her feelings about Wes in the game separate from her feelings about Wes as a friend.
Johnny and the other Champions plot to throw KellyAnne into 'The Ruins' against her best friend Evelyn and easily get the Challengers' girls on board.
Wes offers to play nice and go into 'The Ruins' so long as the Champions agree to use a rotation of guys from then on.
The Challengers kick off the Swing On By Challenge, where team members must swing across the water, avoiding a fence and landing safely on a narrow ledge.
Although Casey struggles to get onto the ledge, the Challengers manage to get their first eleven teammates across.
The Champions burst into hysterical laughter after Shauvon belly-flops into the water the minute she attempts the Challenge.
Although she's convinced she's popped an implant, Shauvon attempts to go again...and again takes a nasty fall into the water.
Shauvon is rushed to the hospital after her second fall, certain she's hurt herself in some way.
Ibis hits the fence on her first attempt for the Champions team, but has no problem getting across on her second attempt.
The Champions team easily wins the Swing On By Challenge, getting all twelve of their competitors onto the ledge.
Johnny stuns both Evelyn and Wes by announcing the team's intention to throw KellyAnne and Evelyn into 'The Ruins.'
Wes and Evelyn attempt to intimidate the other team members into voting their way, but ultimately, the team stands their own.
After deliberations, Wes and Ev storm into the house, screaming about how they're going to throw every Challenge from then on.
Evelyn tearfully tells KellyAnne the news and can't decide whether she even wants to win this 'Ruins' or just throw it so her best friend can stay.
Shauvon returns to the house and announces that she has to go home, much to the disappointment of the Champions team.
Wes and Nick are the first to compete in the Shadowfighter 'Ruins,' where the competitors must attempt to yank their opponent off a platform three times.
Wes easily beats Nick, who puts up little fight after the first time Wes throws him to the ground.
When it's Evelyn and KellyAnne's turn, no one (including KellyAnne) knows whether or not Evelyn's going to throw her 'Ruins.'
After winning two rounds and giving KellyAnne two rounds, Evelyn puts up no fight and allows KellyAnne to emerge victorious.
Still, quitting goes against Evelyn's competitive nature and she bursts into tears after TJ expresses his disappointment.

Tonya emotionally confesses that she has a drinking problem and vows to stay sober.
When Katie again finds a plunger in her bed, she takes her frustrations out on Sarah and demands she leaves the Champions' room.
The Champions promise Sarah that they all really do like her and even present her with a bouquet of flowers.
Wes and Brad kick off the Burning Bridge Challenge, where the teams race to assemble a floating barge in the ocean.
Unfortunately for the Challengers, Casey cannot even come close to unhooking her part of the bridge and eventually gives up.
Katie triumphantly lights the pier at the end of the bridge, cementing yet another win for the Champions.
Tonya gets drunk and decides to rehash some longstanding issues she's had with Veronica, who's happy to egg Tonya on.
Everyone is shocked when the screaming fight leads to Tonya slapping Veronica across the face.

Episode 5: 'Reversal of Fortune'
Wes makes a drastic move when he senses that his girlfriend, KellyAnne, is getting too close to her ex-boyfriend, Cohutta. A crafty competitor manages to escape being voted into the "Spool" Ruins, while another is completely blindsided by her team's decision.
Wes takes note that Cohutta is getting a little too flirty with KellyAnne.
Wes informs KellyAnne that he intends to take Cohutta out in the next 'Ruins.'
Veronica overhears Susie, Ibis, & Johanna plotting plotting to throw her into 'The Ruins' against KellyAnne.
Veronica goes to Evan for help in the situation, but Susie overhears them plotting.
The Block Party Challenge requires the teams to pull opponents off a pole and through the sand before constructing a giant platform to climb up and ring a gong.
KellyAnne fights against getting dragged across the finish line, losing clothes and shoes in the process.
It takes all three Challenger guys almost choking Wes to finally get him through the sand.
Cohutta and the other Challengers are less than thrilled when they still have to pry the "Canadian Moose" Evan off the pole.
The Champions construct their platform and win the challenge before the Challengers have even gotten off the pole.
Evan informs Wes that he's going into 'The Ruins' and Wes is all too happy to pick Cohutta as his opponent.
Veronica argues that Ibis is the weaker player and should go in – or at the very least, the Champions should allow Veronica to go against Kimberly instead of KellyAnne.
The group ends up with a tie vote after Evan agrees to let Veronica pick her partner, forcing all of the Champions to take part in an immediate vote with no deliberation or discussion.
Veronica is pleasantly surprised when the Champions end up voting Ibis to go in against Kimberly.
Ibis expresses frustration that the Champs (especially Johnny) didn't hold up their promise to vote Veronica and KellyAnne into 'The Ruins.'
Tired of being attacked, Johnny vows to remain silent for the rest of his time in Thailand.
Wes and Cohutta kick off the Spool 'Ruins,' where they must climb through bamboo shoots, dragging an armful of rope along the way.
The Challengers and Champions alike are stunned when Cohutta takes a definitive lead.
Most everyone celebrates when Cohutta's surprise victory eliminates Wes.

KellyAnne reads a note from Wes, telling her that he loves her and wishing her luck on winning the big prize.
Johnny expresses concerns that he's not being as protected as other members of their alliance.
Veronica gets annoyed when her team gives her the least responsibility in the Fruits Of Your Labor Challenge, fearing that she'll try and throw the challenge.
The Champions and Challengers must race to toss fruit over a wall and into a tarp being held by their teammates.
Then the teams must carry baskets of tossed fruit over to a scale, using bamboo poles to transport them.
Thunderstorms roll in, further complicating the challenge for both teams.
The Champions team celebrates yet another victory.
Before going into deliberations, Johnny brings up concerns over Syrus' health in an attempt to save himself from 'The Ruins.'
Syrus is less than thrilled when Johnny informs him of the team's intentions to send him to 'The Ruins' even though he's already been in once.
Veronica calls Derrick a coward when he goes with the flow and votes her to go into 'The Ruins' against KellyAnne.
Syrus vents to the Challenger guys about the way his team is playing the game.
Veronica calls Evan out about their so-called friendship, after she overhears him talking to Johanna and Susie about their alliance.
Syrus and Cohutta face off in the Hog Tie 'Ruins,' where they must race across a log, collecting a key along the way.
Although Syrus has an early lead, he has difficulty unlocking his hands and feet and ends up losing to Cohutta.
The Hog Tie 'Ruins' proves to be much more difficult for Veronica and KellyAnne, both of whom have trouble getting across the log.

Darrell volunteers to go into the next 'Ruins' after his team agrees that any guy that goes in will have a free trip to the final.
The Challengers kick off the Rotary Club Challenge, where they must roll teammates down a giant hill in a huge tractor tire.
Each contestant must then roll the tire back up the hill, something which proves quite difficult for Casey.
The Champions win again, with a time of over nine minutes less than the Challengers'.
The Champions have a relatively easy 'Ruins' deliberation, with Johanna volunteering to go against Sarah and Darrell choosing to take out Cohutta.
Cohutta frets about his future in the game, knowing that every Champion will choose to try and take out his big bank account from here on out.
Johanna admits that she's feeling checked out of the game and isn't sure she can pump herself up for her upcoming 'Ruins.'
Brad grows irate when he learns that Casey and KellyAnne have made jokes about how they'll both be able to coast to the final.
Johanna hugs her opponent Sarah, wishing that they could both return from 'The Ruins.'
Sarah and Johanna face off in the Crunch 'Ruins,' where they must use their ab muscles to support themselves while hanging over a dunk tank.
